COOLING SKULL CAPS
Evaporative Cooling Clothing works under the same principle your body uses to cool itself. Your body sweats, the moisture on your body evaporates and this cools your body. The lower the humidity the greater the ability for the moisture to evaporate and provide the cooling effect.
The polymer crystals turn into gel and hold moisture. The crystals will hold the water in a way that will not make the hat feel wet to the touch after the hat is hydrated properly.
General Use Tips
- Soak garment in water for approximately 5 mins (soaking times will vary depending on local water mineral content)
- Crystals may settle to one side of the garment during shipping
- First Time Use: soak the hat for a few minutes to soften the crystals
- Massage the softened crystals evenly around the garment for further hydration
- After crystals are properly hydrated, pat the garment dry with a towel, and let the garment sit to the outer desired dryness.
- The garment is ready to wear.
- Occasional waving of the neckband will increase general evaporation and the cooling effect.
- If the neckband is over hydrated the crystals will continue to absorb water and press through the fabric.
- If the garment is over hydrated, wipe and wash the excess crystals off and pat dry for use.
- Over hydration will also decrease the the size of the garment making it feel too tight.
